Past
Jayron was born during what many supernatural refers as the true dark age. It was a time when the sun didn't shine, but life somehow found a way not only survive but thrive. During this time, humans came to worship Jayron's people as dark deities. It was a status that his people came to enjoy, and many became cruel to the humans whom held them in such her reverence. Jayron's parents were such dark ones. They believed humans were placed upon this world for their own amusement, and they wished for Jayron to share their attitude. They tried everything to make Jayron into what they believed he should be--including beating him mercilessly whenever he behaved in a manner they deemed inappropriate, but it didn't work. He regarded humans as his equals, and did everything within his powers to help them. The final straw came when he decided to take a human as a mate.
This could not stand. They decided that the only way to get Jayron to see the truth as they believed it was to destroy his human completely by devouring her soul. They bind Jayron inside a circle, and proceeded to feast upon his beloved's soul. He pleaded with them to stop. This human was his other half---his soul mate--and without her he would surely die. His parents laughed at this. They believed their people as Gods were above this ridiculous soulmate concept, and this proved that the human had corrupted their son with her silly human beliefs. They told Jayron that in time he would thank them and finished consuming his beloved's soul. They released him once they were done and left him alone with his despair. They believed within a few days at most that he would get over his grief and come to them with gratitude for what they had done for him.
This would not happen. Jayron retreated deep within himself. He thought perhaps he could mend the hole that his parents had ripped into his very being. He is uncertain how long he was there, but he was aware of his two closest friends--Marken and Addais-- coming to speak with him. The three of them had been constant companions as children, and regarded each other as brothers rather than friends. It was their presence that slowly drew him out of the shell he had sealed himself inside, and they did it by merely being there. They never once told him he was being ridiculous or overreacting as he heard his parents say on many occasions. They just sat beside him and spoke with him as they always had. Eventually he awoke, and found his friend Marken sitting before him. He looked around for Addais, but did not see him.
He turned towards Marken and asked where Addais was. Marken quickly told him that Addais' father had locked him along with his sister Lyrica inside his dungeons as punishment. Jayron knew exactly what that punishment entailed. Addais' father had made both his children addicted to his blood and while they were inside the dungeon they would not get any. Things could turn very disastrous at any moment. They had to rescue Addais. Marken told him they would, but first he had a proposition for Jayron. It was an idea they had as children. This piqued Jayron's interest. They had many ideas as children, and he wanted to know which one Marken was speaking of now. His friend was quick to satisfy his curiosity. Marken told him that he wished to take over leadership of their people. It was something he probably could do on his own, but he rather not see if that was true.
He wished for Jayron and Addais to join them. Jayron agreed to join. They spoke for awhile on how they might achieve this goal and how they would reshape their society once they took over, but knowing perfectly well they would not truly commit to anything until they spoke with Addais, and it soon became clear to them that was exactly what they needed to do. The two of them went to where Addais was being kept. The sight was horrible, and Jayron felt guilty that they had not arrived sooner. Yet, he did not allow this deter him from his and Marken's mission. They revealed to Addais their plan, and without any hesitation he agreed to join them. The three of them over the currant leadership of their people, and established themselves into that role. They became known as the Trinity.
They ruled for countless years, and underneath their leadership their society changed a great deal. It became something darker. It reflect the ideas that Jayron's parents and Addais' father tried to install into them, and ones that Marken learned during his own upbringing. Their society became a place where the strong had absolute power. He could do whatever he wished to those whom were subservient to him as long as he could make them submit, and those whom were not capable of defending themselves or their loved ones had no right to complain. Jayron knew this would displease many people, and he thought---no hoped--that someone would rise up against them. He hoped that he would be killed in the battle. Maybe, he could even gild them into devouring his soul. He welcomed the idea. No, he craved it. There was nothing he wanted more than oblivion.
It seemed that someone had heard his prayers because Marken's sister--Candra-- rose up against them, but in spite proving to be a worthy adversary they managed to defeat her. The next question was to figure out what to do with her. Addais wanted to kill her. He thought it was foolish to keep her alive because she could come back to finish what she had started. The only good enemy was a dead one. Marken would hear nothing of this. This was his sister they were speaking of, and he would not kill her. Instead, he suggested they put her into a deep slumber and lock her within a glass coffin. Perhaps, if she slept long enough she might see reason. Addais expressed his doubt over this, but agreed to let Marken tried. However, he made it perfectly clear that when they finally wake her and she resumed her quest to overthrow them that he would cut her down in spite any protest.
After that no one tried to overthrow them for many many years. They saw Candra as a cautionary tale, and feared what would happen if they made the attempt and failed. They did not have the family connection to soften the blow of the Trinity's wrath if they did not succeed, and there were rumors that they had killed Candra rather than locked her up. Rumors none of them attempted to correct because they saw no reason to. That was until the dark one Azmyth came along, and overthrew them. Jayron thought this was the end. Surely, he was going to kill them or perhaps just banish them, but to the surprise of many he asked the members of the trinity to become his top lords. Jayron didn't understand his reasoning for doing such a thing. Perhaps, he was motivated by the notion of keeping your enemies close.
Whatever his reason the Trinity maintains a position of power, and they are regarded in very much the same manner they had been before Azmyth had seized control. He begun to reshape their society to what it was before the Trinity had taken over, but many of their people came to enjoy things the way they were and were resistant to all the changes. During this time the Jayron and his friends went off to do their own things. Jayron focused on gaining the oblivion he desired. He knew it was very unlikely that he could convince a full blooded of his kind to devour his soul such a thing would be considered taboo by his people. So, he turned his attention to half-breeds. They were not bound by the same stigma. He, also, looked towards other creatures whom were known for devouring souls. He begun to take or kill those of value to these beings, but none proved capable of giving him what he desired.
During this time God--whom were man's creator-under the request of Angels he went to Hell to recruit their help in protecting man against those creatures whom thrived in the dark. Unlike Angels, whom quite literally needed the light to survive, these demons could stay upon earth for however long they desired. In exchange for their protect, humans would provide demons with the sustenance they needed. This arrangement worked for some time, but than the demons begun to hurt humans in the exact same manner that those they whom they were suppose to protect humans from had. Eventually, a human by the name of Sara Jean climbed to the top of the tallest mountain and asked God not to protect them against those whom wished them harm, but provide them with a tool that they could use to defend themselves. God was so moved by her pleas that he returned the sun to the earth.
Many of Jayron's people retreated to another realm to escape from the sun which they found to be quite harmful to them. Jayron was among them. He didn't retreat because he feared the sun's rays, but rather because he thought a change of scenery would be nice. He stayed within this realm for some time, but curiosity eventually got the best of him and he found himself returning to the world he had been born into and the world he had--and still does--call home. He knew things were going to be very different when entered earth, but was surprised to see how different. He quickly learned what transpired while he was away.

Present
While the return of the sun caused many of Jayron's people and other similar creatures to retreat into another realm it had no affect upon demons. They continued their torment of humans just as they had been before the reappearance of the sun. Through, the sun's return did allow angels to defend humans to the full extent of their powers. Out right war broke out between angels and demons--one that became clear that the demons was winning. God decided to create a defender of man kind---a woman by the name of Sol to change the tides of this war. She was suppose to be justice, but after the death of her beloved she turned into a force of vengeance instead. It is said that she went around slaughtering anyone whom had just an ounce of demon blood. Eventually, she got together with God and the king of hell, and together they made the covenant of heaven and hell.
The covenant stated how the supernatural--especially angels and demons--would behave in the realm of man, and the punishment for breaking these rules. They even set up a council--a police force really--to go around and ensure these rules were being followed. Time passed and eventually mankind forgot about these events. Earth as modern humans came to know it begun to take form. While Jayron's find this world that humans had created to be interesting his real attention is upon this council that was created to ensure the laws established by the covenant of heaven and hell was obeyed--especially the leader. He was the son of Azmyth. Much more importantly, he was a half-breed, and Jayron believes if he plays his cards right that he could easily convince him to devour his soul.
Jayron decided the best way to do this was steal a member the organization and hurt her in such a way that their leader will hate him enough to do as Jayron desired, After careful consideration, he selected his target, but getting her will be a difficult task just as leaving enough clues for her leader to follow without leading him directly to Jayron will be. The last thing Jayron wants is for her to be saved before he can inflict any real damage upon him. He doubts the leader will just devour his soul for simply kidnapping one of his members, but whom knows. It is possible he is the type of man whom will consume someone's soul if they ask nicely. but if Jayron had been the type of person willing to ask someone to do such a thing he would have done so ages ago.
